Born in Quebec City, Guillaume Lavallée is a journalist. He was a correspondent for Agence France-Presse (AFP) in Pakistan and Afghanistan, head of the Khartoum bureau and, more recently, the Jerusalem bureau. He is also a co-founder of the Quebec Fund for International Journal-ism (FQJI). He has published Dans le ventre du Soudan (Mémoire d’encrier, 2013) and Drone de guerre (Boréal, 2017), both finalists for the Albert-Londres Prize, as well as Voyages en Afghani (Mémoire d’encrier, 2022).
